EcoRakau distributes native timber sourced from sustainably managed indigenous forests
In New Zealand we have an availability of stunning natural timbers that are the envy of the world and in many cases are superior to imported timbers.
EcoRakau provides native timbers such as rimu, matai, totara, kahikatea, tawa, red beech, silver beech and other species to architects, designers, builders, craftsman, furniture, joinery manufactures, and DIY projects. These New Zealand heritage timbers are sourced from our parent company Forest Holdings which owns and manages the forestry rights to over 15,000 hectares of natural forest in New Zealand. Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry legally approved and registered sustainable indigenous forest management plans are in place for all our forests and all of our timber is harvested selectively in an environmentally sensitive manner.
A variety of native timbers in hard and softwood species are supplied for exclusive furniture manufacture, fine hardwood flooring, paneling, and decking as well as interior joinery.
